Wicca Theory

This is just an imagination experiment, a chance to see if for just a few moments, you could believe in a reality far different than the one we accept as real. Of course if you believe this most of the time, you would be considered delusional.

The existence of Magickal effects or events if they truly occurred, would imply there really is more than one world (universe) in an existential sense. Each of these worlds would operate (and ultimately exist) on the basis of radically different laws. Worlds with similar core laws might exist in relative proximity to one another, but worlds whose core laws radically differ would destroy each other if they came into close proximity with each other. Worlds with somewhat similar core laws, but with different non-core laws, might co-exist near each other but would likely trigger RDs (Reality Disturbances) in nearby worlds. These RDs would likely manifest as various levels of dissonance and destruction, such as anxiety, anger, violence and ultimately explosions.

Magick, practiced by individuals in a unified/harmonic world (a world without significant RDs) would not be perceived by mundanes as out of the ordinary. Less experienced Mages might even perceive some magickal occurances as natural since magickal events would be preceeded by similar procedures throughout a unified world/domain. There would be no "nuclear-individuals", that is, individuals whose minds and even bodies operate in ways willfully different from their neighbors. "Harmonious-individuals", being part of the harmonious unity, would produce only results consistent with the patterns of that unity. So even if that world were magickally caused, few would realize it.

Those few who realize this RS (Reality-Secret) because their inner minds are in some degree of communication with NPWs (Non-Paradigm-Worlds), would be able to enrichen the paradigm of their home-world without breaking it, causing new phenomena to manifest (materialize) slowly enough so that procedures could be devised to masquerade as causation in the mass mind. Otherwise, some members of the masses, knowing this RS would again successfully work private (overly willful, non paradigm) acts of magical manifestation, breakng the human community into RSZs (reality sub-zones) with buffers of mundanes fighting mass pawn-wars, not knowing the reason for their differences with the opposing pawns.

For the purpose of protecting the harmony, safety and even the existence of one's home-world, a mage must not practice UM (Unshielded Magick). When attempting NPM (Non-Paradigm-Magick), a responsible Mage must shield his/her home-world from significant bleed-through of MEE (Magickal-Energy-Emanation). The problem with UM is the effect it has on mundanes, organizing them into patterns around the paradigm of the mage.

It is not necessarily true that the world (The Entire Universe) is one. It's more likely a Multiverse.

Any novel, eccentric, or otherwise non paradigmatic reality generating activity of individual mages should pass through a reality censor or re-patterning filter before the magickal effects are observed by mundanes. Mundanes who observe magical effects un-preceded by an understandable procedure are unable to resist being plucked into a reality frame they are not ready for. What I mean by "not ready for" is unable or unmotivated to do anything requiring some constructive effort, thinking and learning. The masquerade procedure preceding magical acts needs to be somewhat understandable with regard to the mundane's thought patterns, and engaging and complex enough to keep the mundane busy thinking and learning as they try to reproduce the magickal event or manifestation. Science is probably destined to be the appropriate pattern for earth-based mundanes for some time to come.
